Difference Between Provider Credentialing and Provider Enrollment

    This article has been very helpful. I was previously in a work place handling the credentialing (PSV) Primary Source Verifications and other departments (provider relations, provider enrollment, contracts, credentialing) were all separate and now I currently work in an environment where all are combined. Its a heavy load when all roles are combined. Although they all work hand in hand and you can’t complete one process without the footwork of the other.     I’m in a fix regarding to the non participating provider and participating provider.
    Please help me why a provider ( Participating ) get a contract and why a provider ( non participating ) refused to sign the contract?
    If participating provider gets reimbursement early, then why the other provider ( non participating ) do not get contract?
